Black Nativity is a handclapping toe-tapping gospel celebration of Christmas.
Each year we add new songs, new staging, and introduce new singers and performers.
There is no better way to usher in the holiday season
than with the joyous sounds of the finest gospel voices from throughout the Bay Area.
Exhilarating dance, glorious gospel music, and delightfully raucous humor
combine to create a rich theatre experience the whole family can enjoy.
People of all backgrounds, religious and secular alike, return each season
to experience this Bay Area holiday tradition as
the extraordinary artists of Black Nativity “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!”
Black Nativity previews December 16 and 17, and opens Friday, December 18,
for performances Wednesdays –Saturdays at 8pm plus Saturdays at 2pm & Sundays at 4pm
through Dec 27, 2009 at Marines Memorial Theatre in downtown San Francisco.
The December 24 Christmas Eve performance is at 2pm.
